Lucky!

Here is another page in my Schultz Christmas 2014 Album - for 22-23 November. I didn't take many photos on these days - must have been mid week. Photos include our cheeky elves playing in the bathroom with loo paper and having a cotton wool bath - too cute!

I kept these pages very simple with only 2 wooden embellishments - can you believe it! The gold cards are so pretty though, they are all you need!

Supplies include: Teresa Collins Albums made easy journalling cards - Studio Gold (the 2 smaller cards and the lucky card); Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit (the other large cards); Scrappy Canary number wood veneer; SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

Crazy!

Although I''m only up to blogging 20/21st November in my Schultz Christmas 2014 Album I'm really up to mid December - but still have some catching up to do. Using ready made cards and printing photos to the pocket size really speed up the process - hopefully I can finish by the end of the year.

As you can still see many of my photos are of our Elves activities. I've also included a photo of some of my handmade Christmas cards and me being silly with "Cherries". With Christmas time being summer time here in Australia it also means that it is cherry time - yumm!

Supplies include: Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit; Scrappy Canary number wood veneer; Freckled Fawn wood veneer (hearts and word); SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

The Places We'll Go!

Today's scrapbook share is a page I made where I stamped my own background. It was different to the usual backgrounds I make using watercolours and patterned stamps. I have a KaiserCraft set of stamps with 3 different sayings on them - all perfect for scrapbooking. So I repeatedly stamped these across my background in a blue colour except for 3 places where I used a black ink to highlight the sayings. I quite like the effect - and I always like making my own patterned paper!!

The photos were taken on our recent trip to Sydney. I just love Rachael photo-bombing in the background - too funny!!
I've cut a heap of strips of patterned paper from the Studio Calico Printshop collection to layer under and around my photos, and I've also added a silver paper doilie. Most of the embellishments are from the My Paper Balloon November embellishment kit.

Today I have 2 pages from November in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). The photos on the left are of Jessica with her Bronze Premiers Reading Challenge Medal - she was so proud she even wore it to bed that night! On the right are photos from Grand-friends day at school. Jessica's grandparents couldn't make it so we went :)

I've kept these pages simple using goodies from a range of Freckled Fawn OHDEERME kits, and a Pebbles roller date stamp.

Hi Sunshine!

Todays share is a scrapbook page I had published in the Scrapbooking Memories magazine. It was in Vol 17 No 5 in the "Fabric" gallery where I've used a denim pocket cut from an old pair of my daughters jeans.

The photos are of my family doing silly selfies - it is always such a chore to get everyone to pose!
The patterned papers, diecuts and flair are all from American Crafts. I've cut strips of the papers and added them underneath my photos. I've used some stamps from Kellie Stamps on some shipping tags and placed in the pocket. Then I've attached some mini pegs that I've coloured with glitter glue.
I've then used lots of amazing and fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps: paper flowers, crocheted flower, polka dot buttons, and journal spots. I've also used Studio Calico wood veneer and chevron cork. Lastly I've added the date using a Pebbles roller date stamp.

Happiness is Chocolate Fondue!

Todays share is a scrapbook page I had published in the Scrapbooking Memories magazine. It was in Vol 17 No 4 in the "Posivity" gallery.

The photos are of my daughter Rachael enjoying a yummy Chocolate Fondue at Bracegirdles Glenelg! We love chocolate!!
I started with some patterned paper from the Studio Calico Printshop collection -this is one of my favourite collections. I've watercoloured across the paper (hard to see), added paint splatters, then I used a range of stamps from Prima and Bo Bunny and a dark grey ink pad.
I loved the background as it was and didnt want to cover it up so I used my "no paper" scrapbooking style and added just a few embellishments to highlight the photo and background.
I've used lots of amazing and fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps: orange bitty blooms, yellow Forget Me Nots, orange coloured wireorange and yellow polkadot buttonsapricot Hand dyed muslin, orange Hand-Dyed Seam Binding, Ticket Tab, paper tags and tabs.

Lastly I've added word stamps from Kellie Stamps under the photos, a date using a Pebbles roller date stamp, and a title using KaiserCraft alphas.

Elf on a Shelf!

Here is another page in my Schultz Christmas 2014 Album - for 10-11 November. We have 2 Elf on a Shelf's - Elfie and Sparkle. They tend to dominate the photos of my album, mainly because I always remember to photograph them in the morning once we find them. Often I forget to photograph other activities - but I do journal them.
I've cut my own background cards from old Christmas paper I've had for years - a great way to use it up! The 2 middle cards are from a Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit I bought. I was attracted to the kit initially because it was gold - great for either Christmas or year round use, and I love the sayings on them.

Supplies include: Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit; Scrappy Canary number wood veneer; D-lish Scraps wordfetti; Studio Calico star, heart and Joy wood veneer, gold heart diecut, and sequins; Freckled Fawn washi, gold geotag, and gold paper doilie; Craft Paper Scissors Love Life Lauren Christmas wood veneer; My Minds Eye Lost & Found Christmas patterned paper; twine from my stash. SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

Documenting Christmas 2014!

I love documenting Christmas. For the last few years I've used a SMASH* journal to do this but this year I though I would try "Project Life" or "Pocket Page" style! I'm just loving it!! I'm using a 12x12 album and doing 2 days to a page.

I started my documenting on 8th November. This is the day of the Adelaide Christmas Pageant (and when we put up our Christmas tree) and I find lots of our Christmas festivities start in November - so I wanted to start my "Schultz Christmas 2014" Album then too!! I will make my title page last :)
I'm aiming to keep my pages relatively simple - so I can keep up with documenting every day during the November-December period. I plan on using a lot of wood veneer and gold accents. This page uses some old papers I had in my stash.
I've also included a hand written note from Jessica to our elves Elfie and Sparkle - just adorable.

Supplies include: Teresa Collins Albums made easy journalling cards - Studio Gold; Scrappy Canary tree and number wood veneer; Freckled Fawn wood veneer (house, word, speech bubble, emoticon) and arrow paperclip; D-lish Scraps wordfetti, shipping tag and chevron bag; Studio Calico star wood veneer and sequins; Chic Tags gold alphas; My Minds Eye Lost & Found Christmas patterned paper. SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

Adventure Awaits!

Today I have 2 pages from October and November in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). The photos on the left are of Jessica and John on the Dodgem cars - her first time! The photos on the right are of Jessica sitting in a little tent on the lounge while watching TV - too funny!
I made the calendar using MS Word - provides a great summary of highlights of the month.

On these pages I've used goodies from a range of Freckled Fawn OHDEERME kits; My Paper Balloon embellishment kits; and stamps from Kellie Stamps.

Around Here!

Today I have  2 more pages from October in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). The photos were taken at a special birthday lunch for John - I'd organised to have some lobster as he is always talking about it - Jessica and John loved it, Rachael and I prefer chocolate!!
On these pages I've mainly used the Freckled Fawn August OHDEERME kit.
I was running out of letters in the alpha set so I chose a number of short words to suit - a great way to use up all those extra alphas in your stash!

Project Life - I Love It!

I've finally joined the club, the Project Life (or pocket page scrapbooking) club that is!

I've umm'd and arrrr'd about it for some time as I already do Scrapbooking and SMASH*booking and I did not want to commit to another for of memory keeping. I'm so glad I tried it though - I just love it!! It is something different and I thought I would try it for my December Daily/Christmas Journal.

This is my first ever PL page. I've mainly used the October Cupcake kit from A Piece of Cake Designs. I just love these kits and the 6x6 paper is the perfect size for these pockets.
I've used the Kaiser stamp and the yellow Prima chalk ink (both from the kit) on white cardstock to make the top right background card. I've used my watercolour paints to make the "our day" card and I've used my mum's old typewriter to journal on another card. The black doilie and the stickers are also from the kit.

I've also used Freckled Fawn heart and diamond shaped wood veneer, and arrow paperclip; D-Lish Scraps paper flowers and Hello speech bubble wood veneer; PinkFresh Studio envelope wood veneer; and stamps from Kellie Stamps.

The Rolling Stones!

Today I have  2 more pages are from October in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). I seem to be keeping up with this Journal at the moment - It really makes it easy when you stick to using 1 kit at a time - eliminates too much choice!!
On these pages I've used the Freckled Fawn August and September OHDEERME kits - I just loved using the large Alphas and the wooden frames!
We had so much fun at the Rolling Stones concert - havent had a date night in about 7 years!! Granny came to babysit so we treated her to breakfast at the local Cherry Shed Cafe!
