Buttons Challenge # 3

Here are another 2 masculine cards I've made. I just love these silhouette Stampin' Up! images. They work really well embossed in black. I have been selling my cards at a local cafe and cards like this have been really popular. This is also another entry to the Scrapbook Boutique Blog "Buttons" challenge.

Tilda Helps Celebrate a Birthday!

The challenge at All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge this week is "Birthdays". This is a card I've made with one of my adorable Magnolia images - she is so sweet. I actually have quite a collection of these stamps but dont seem to use them as much as I should (hmmm perhaps I have too many stamps ... ). I just love this colour scheme too - very girly!

Buttons Challenge # 1

The challenge over at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog is a buttons challenge (at least 3). I love buttons, in fact I seem to be a buttons hoarder (sometimes it seems that they are too pretty to use!!). So I came up with these simple yet effective cards that use lots of buttons. I love the idea of a flower pot on a card. I've then made some scallop flower roses and put a button in the middle of each.  No stamping on this card (except the sentiment) - a bit different to my usual style!

Ivy In Black, White and Brown!

The Challenge this week at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges is Black, White + One other Colour. Well I decided to join this with a scrapbook layout using Black, white and brown (brown mainly). I've been trying to do more scrapbooking over the last year but each page seems to take me much longer than a card (mainly because of deciding on which photograph to use) so often I go back to making a card just to feel like I'm achieving something. I love that I can keep the end product though with scrapbooking! Now Ivy is one of my all time favs TPS images - isnt she gorgeous. Almost as gorgeous as my daughter at my wedding!

Card Recipe
Stamps :  Lil Lolita Ivy (Tickled Pink Stamps)
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, close to cocoa, watercolour paper (Stampin' Up!)
Papers:  Kaisercraft
Inks:   Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up!)
Coloured with:  Markers and aquapainter (Stampin' Up!)
Other :   ribbon (Stampin' Up!), flowers and rhinestones (Kaisercraft), lace, rings and charms (stash)

Victoria Takes On A Colour Challenge!

A few weeks ago I won some gorgeous digis in the Anita Be Stampin blog hop. Well today was the day to print some off and join a challenge! The Challenge this week at Anita Be Stampin Challenge blog is a colour challenge. Now I dont often use blue but I just love blue and brown together. I think one of the reasons I dont use blue it that it does not always feature in the designer paper packs I buy. Anyways, I found me some nice papers in my way to large stash of paper pads, and I just love this colour scheme.

All In White!

The Sugar bowl have another challenge at the moment (see here) it is a sketch with an optional theme of clean and simple. I've seen a few cards lately with an all white theme so I thought I'd try it myself. I get variations in the white using texture (embossing) and edges. I quite like the result - what do you think?
