My Honey has his birthday next week - so what a great excuse to make a card (now really ... who needs an excuse). So here goes - Happy Birthday Honey!!

Cardstock: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Naturals Ivory, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!)

Papers:  Velvet Ensemble paper pad (KaiserCraft) 

Inks:    Soft Suede (Stampin' Up!), tuxedo black (memento)
Coloured with:  Copics (cool grey's)
Other :  wooden clock (KaiserCraft), fancy tags die (Spellbinders), symphony tissue tape, film strip (Tim Holtz), hearts die (Provocraft), charm, cardboard (stash)

Birthday Boy!!

It feels like ages since my last post and since I made a card - life can be too hectic at times! My eldest daughter had her 10th birthday and we had a big party with all her friends (about 30 of them - what was I thinking). Well it all went well and they all had fun, we played heaps of games and had a disco.
It is a friends sons birthday next week and I wanted to make a card for that so I thought I'd join a few challenges along the way.

Tilda Helps Celebrate a Birthday!

The challenge at All That Scraps Wednesdays Challenge this week is "Birthdays". This is a card I've made with one of my adorable Magnolia images - she is so sweet. I actually have quite a collection of these stamps but dont seem to use them as much as I should (hmmm perhaps I have too many stamps ... ). I just love this colour scheme too - very girly!

 

Cherrie Joins A Few Challenges!

I won the adorable "Valentine Cherrie Tag" Stamp as a candy on Kylie's blog (thanks Kylie!). I couldn't wait to ink it up! So this week I'm joining in a few challenges: the Tickled Pink Stamps challenge # 5 (punches); the All That Scraps Challenge (Anything Goes); and Bizzy Becs Store Blog Challenge (A Sketch).
I've tried a black and white colouring on Kraft cardstock (see here for a video by the amazing Jen Shults). I still need more practice - but you have to start somewhere. I didnt add the white as I liked it how it was and didnt want to muck it up!!

For my sweetheart!

Valentines day and my 4th wedding Anniversary  are coming up so I wanted to make a card for my darling hubby.
I'm joining in the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges # 3 (a sketch challenge) and All That Scraps Challenges (early Valentines ideas).
I've stuck with a grey/black/white/silver colour scheme and added enough embellishments to make it romantic but still masculine (I hope!).
