Silly Faces!

I usually prefer to only use one photo on each of my SB pages but I often have a sequence - usually one or both of my girls commanding the camera's attention. In these photos I asked for a smile but Jessica wouldn't comply - Rachael tried her hardest to stay focused then she gave up lol!

This is my fourth page using the January '14 half tart kit from Lime Tart and I have used up literally all the papers. I chose a piece of pink patterned paper for the background and layered more of the papers underneath my photos. I used a scallop edge punch on a few of the layers to add some texture and interest.
I added a black sequin arrow as well as some wood veneer moustaches (from the Movember Tart - raising money for Men's health). The alphas for the title are from a previous kit.
From the patterned papers I fussy cut some tags, and other items to add around the photos and for the journalling - there is a great variety to choose from! There is a gorgeous patterned transparency in the kit - I cut out the "love life" section for this page. I've also dotted some of the pearl dots across the page.
I used a stamp from Kellie Stamps "you make me smile" from the Just for you stamp set and the chevrons from the Hello arrows stamp set.
In addition to the Jan'14 Half Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Freckled Fawn wood veneer hearts; and October Afternoon Sidewalks buttons.

Hanging Out Today!

One of the sheets of patterned paper in the January '14 half tart kit from Lime Tart is full of polaroid frames. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to highlight them in some way for a layout.

I started with a sheet of textured blue cardstock from my stash and thought I would experiment with a few mixed media techniques. After deciding where the photos would go I sprayed the background with a blue Chalkboard mist over a Kaisercraft chevron mask. Once this had dried I used some texture paste over a Studio Calico circles mask and also wiped some in the top right and bottom left corners. I then used a Glitz arrows roller around the edge of the photos and over the wiped texture paste.
I cut out four of the polaroid frames from the paper then attached my photos to three of them. I wanted to highlight the picture on one of the polaroids so I added some of the coloured pearls from the kit. I then attached these polaroids to my page using dimensionals.
I cut out come of the labels from another of the paper sheets and layered them to make a title.
The blue sequin arrow is a highlight of the page! I also cut out and added some other labels and images from the papers, and added a journalling sticker at the bottom right.
In addition to the Jan'14 Half Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Stampin' Up! blue textured cardstock; Studio Calico wood veneer flowers and bird; Freckled Fawn wood veneer hearts; and a Pebbles roller date stamp.

Baking - I Made That!

My daughters love cooking! my eldest prefers if we just leave her too it, so she can do it "all by myself". Last year at school they ran a 6 week "elective" class were students could select from a range of activities including cooking, sewing, orienteering and woodwork. I helped take the cooking class and Rachael did cooking - along with a few other girls and lots of hungry boys lol! This photo shows the cupcakes she made and decorated on one of the days.

I've used the January '14 half tart kit from Lime Tart for this layout. I chose a piece of patterned paper from the kit that already had a lovely floral pattern on one corner.
I left this floral pattern exposed and further embellished it with some of the coloured pearls from the kit.
There were some other flowers and labels in the papers so I fussy cut them and layered them and used them to embellish the title (I used alphas from a previous kit). I had a metal charm from my stash and attached it with some twine also from a previous kit.
I layered some strips of paper underneath my photo along with a tag and a glassine bag from a previous kit. The black sequin arrow from this kit adds a striking touch.
I used some stamps from Kellie Stamps "[I made that]", "Yum", "yup, I baked that", and "[food shot] from the Food Shot stamp set.
In addition to the Jan'14 Half Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Studio Calico wood veneer circle words, star burst and hearts; Studio Calico wood veneer house; and a tag & metal charm from my stash.

At The Beach!

I just love Christmas!! But I will have to admit that after the rush of the big day and all the related SMASH*ing and scrapping I really enjoy doing some non-Christmas crafting. It is summer time here in Australia so fresh summery paper colours are very refreshing! As I'm typing this post it is new years eve and about 35degC outside. I can hear my youngest daughter squeeling with delight as she plays in the paddle pool outside.

This is the last month of Lime Tart kits as the store will close down and the end of January. I just love this store and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on their design team working with an amazing group of ladies. But we are certainly going out with a bang and the range of January kits is gorgeous!

I've used the January '14 half tart kit from Lime Tart for this layout. I've gone with a circle theme for this beach page. I started with a background of white cardstock that I sprayed with a blue chalkboard mist and used a Prima circles mask.
I used my Big Shot to cut a heap of different sized circles from a selection of the patterned papers in the kit. I clustered a range of the circles and a paper doilie (also sprayed with the blue mist)  underneath my photos and added some strips of paper as well. I added another strip of patterned paper across the bottom of the page as well as more circles in the top left and bottom right.
There are some gorgeous label stickers in the kit so I added one at the bottom for some journalling. Some of the patterned papers lend themselves to fussy cutting so I did this for the "and this was the best part" label. I added some alphas from a previous kit for the title and used a gorgeous blue sequin arrow from this kit (there are 3 blue and 3 black in the kit - yummy!). I then dotted lots of blue pearls over some of the smaller misted circles.
In addition to the Jan'14 Half Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Stampin' Up! white cardstock; Studio Calico wood veneer flowers, diamonds and boat; Pebbles roller date stamp; D-lish Scraps Motex tape writer and blue tape; October Afternoon Woodland Park button; APOCD flair; and white paper doilie, from my stash. I also added some polaroid diecuts made using my Cameo.

Jessica's Favourite Christmas Ornament!

My youngest daughter loves teddy bears and soft toys. She has so many but she still wants every new one she sees. They are all very special to her and if one goes missing then there are many tears. Brown teddy bears are her favourite and I have one that is dressed as an angel with wings and is a decoration for the Christmas tree. The photo on this page is of her adoring this special ornament.

I've used the December '13 full tart kit from Lime Tart for this layout. Many of the papers in this kit are shades of red so I thought I would make this a "red" page. I started with a background of white cardstock that I splattered with red Dylusions ink. I then added a strip of patterned paper across the top of the page.

Then I clustered a number of layers of the patterned papers, a white paper doilie, and one of the red tags (in a glassine bag from a previous kit), under my photo.
I added a red resin flower and enamel dots around the photo and across the page. I also used the Studio Calico alpha stickers for my title.
I cut out some banner shapes and attached them to the plastic tabs in the kit. I then added 2 of the candy cane brads and threaded twine through the banner and canes.
In addition to the Dec'13 Full Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Stampin' Up! white cardstock and scallop edge punches; Kellie Stamps "you make me smile" from the Just for you stamp set; Studio Calico flair and 3D diecut from the Magical collection; and white paper doilie, red twine & red sequin strip from my stash.

A Christmas Family Portrait!

Every year I try and remember to take a Christmas family portrait (with the Santa hats on hehehe). The girls constantly make funny faces so I take a few shots like that (yes we all like to get in on that act) then we take a nice one - what do you think??

I've used the December '13 full tart kit from Lime Tart for this layout. After I had decided on my photo placement I tore 2 pieces of the MME Mistletoe Magic patterned paper as shown then adhered them to a piece of matching cardstock from my stash.
Then I clustered a number of layers of the patterned papers, and one of the red tags, under my photos.
I used a stocking punch to make the stockings at the bottom of the page and I attached them (along with some twine and a bell from my stash) with the plastic tabs in the kit.
I added some of the sticker elements and alphas across the page, as well as some of the resin flowers and enamel dots.
In addition to the Dec'13 Full Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Stampin' Up! stocking punch; D-lish Scraps Motex tape writer and clear tapeKellie Stamps "Santa define good" and "I've been good[ish]" from the Christmas 2012 stamp set; Studio Calico tree and starburst wood veneers, and coloured cardstock, gold sequin string, twine, and a bell from my stash.

Never Lose Your Sparkle!

As we were putting up our Christmas tree this year I took some photos of the girls. They are not always cooperative when I get my camera out and often like to do their own thing while I try and pose them - this photo is so typical of my eldest, isn't she gorgeous though!

I've mainly used the December '13 full tart kit from Lime Tart for this layout. I started by using a star mask and some white dylusions ink spray on a kraft cardstock background. I also added some splatters of the white across the page.

Then I clustered a number of layers of the patterned papers, and one of the red tags, under my photo. I used some star punches and a scallop border punch to cut some shapes that I added across the page. I also added some of the sticker labels and alphas. The resin flowers and enamel dots provide additional colour and dimension to the layout.
I also added some twine, stamped words, and clear label writer words from my stash.
In addition to the Dec'13 Full Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used Stampin' Up! kraft cardstock, star and scallop edge punches; D-lish Scraps Motex tape writer and clear tapeKellie Stamps "I love this girl" from the Best Friends stamp set; and red and brown twine from my stash.

This scrapbook page has been published in the Scrapbooking Memories magazine. It was in Vol 17 No 6 in the "Christmas" gallery.

The Magic Cave!

The latest December '13 full tart kit from Lime Tart is packed with Christmas scrapbooking yummyness! It is so much fun re-living special Christmas moments and traditions when you scrapbook. I have spent the last 3 weeks reorganising my craft space in a major way and haven't had an opportunity to craft, so I really enjoyed crafting with this gorgeous kit!

The papers in the kit are MME Mistletoe Magic. For this page I chose the "letter look" paper which has a Santa postmark and Christmas Wishes sentiment already on the page. I then sprayed some inks on the background. I've just started using the Dylusions ink sprays and love the intense colour they give!
I then layered a heap of the papers under my photo along with a paper doilie that I also sprayed with Dylusions ink, and a red tag that is in the kit. I cut a label from one of the cards in the SN@P December Documented pack (also in the kit) and attached it to the left of the photo.
The embellishments in the kit include some gorgeous green ribbon that has wired edges so you can shape it, some enamel dots, some Studio Calico alphas and stickers, some candy cane brads and some resin flowers. I've added these on my layout for interest and to add texture and dimension.
I'm entering this in the MME December Challenge "Dear Santa".

In addition to the Dec'13 Full Tart kit from the Lime Tart store I've used D-lish Scraps Motex tape writer and clear tapeKellie Stamps "visiting santa" (discontinued), "Christmas" and "Tradition" from the Christmas Tradition stamp set; and gold twine from my stash.

Fashion Diva!

As well as all the lovely bright colours found in the gorgeous October '13 Half Tart kit from Lime Tart there were some more subtle pieces of cardstock. The one used as the background for this page is one of my absolute favourites at the moment - it coordinates with the colours of  many of my eldest daughters clothes too!
From the kit I've used the patterned paper, a glassine bag, twine, and thickers.
I've also used a wooden flower flourish from the September 13' Gourmet Tart that I have sprayed with white mist. Wooden embellishments are perfect for spraying to suit the colour scheme of your layout!
I had some white doilies that I altered to suit the colour scheme of my page by spraying with Colorshine.
In addition to the Oct'13 Half Tart kit and September 13' Gourmet Tart  from the Lime Tart store I've used D-lish Scraps bitty blooms & cosmos daisies; Kellie Stamps "you make me smile" from the Just for you stamp set, "perfect photo", "cheese", "smile", "Insta moment" and "picture perfect" from the Picture Perfect set; Studio Calico wood veneer bird; Freckled Fawn wood veneer arrows; Pebbles roller date stamp; Simple Stories Sn@p word stickers; and a tag, cupcake paperclip, crochet doilies & flair from my stash.

Cool Cat!

My page for today is all about the awesome circle mask and the gorgeous products available in the October '13 Half Tart kit, all from Lime Tart. I just love this mask and I wanted it to feature on this page.
On this page I've used the Studio Calico circle graph mask (available from Lime tart) with modelling paste, then I've splattered white paint across the page. From the kit I've used the patterned paper cut into strips, twine, bicycle paperclip, some label stickers, Thickers and Ice accents.
In addition to the Oct'13 Half Tart kit and mask from the Lime Tart store I've used Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock; Studio Calico wood veneer cats & white mist; Freckled Fawn wood veneer polaroids; Pebbles roller date stamp; and sequins & flair from my stash.

Smile!

My current scrapbooking pages have been all about using Kraft cardstock for the background and using masks and modelling paste. I love the natural look of the kraft and I love the texture you get when using modelling paste with a mask.

Lime Tart have a range of masks available here and I wanted to try them all!! This month I've used the gorgeous October '13 Half Tart kit from Lime Tart - the colours are bright and fun.

The photo on this page is of my eldest daughter and I on a family day out - she loves to take selfies on my camera so I jumped in on this one.
On this page I've used the Ronda Palazzari Well Rounded mask available from Lime tart. From the kit I've used strips of patterned paper, a glassine bag, lots of twine, some label stickers, thickers and the bicycle paperclip.
I've also used some Tattered Angels Brown Glimmermist and splattered some Heidi Swapp black colorshine. I did have problems with the Colorshine not drying properly (the splats were quite thick in some places and they remained tacky).
In addition to the Oct'13 Half Tart kit and other products from the Lime Tart store I've used Studio Calico wood veneer camera & flower; Prima wood veneer house; D-lish Scraps crocheted flower & forget-me-nots; Kellie Stamps "INSTAmoment" from the Just for you stamp set and the arrows from the Hello arrows stamp set; Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock & ink; Pebbles roller date stamp; Simple Stories Sn@p word stickers; and flair from my stash.

My Life, My Daughters!

My page for today is all about the lovely bright colours found in this months gorgeous October '13 Half Tart kit from Lime Tart. Isn't the orange just stunning!!

The photo on this page is of me and my two girls - why do they insist on pulling a funny face in EVERY photo?!?!

On this page I've used the TCW halftone border mask available from Lime tart. From the kit I've used the patterned paper, a glassine bag, lots of twine, some label stickers, thickers and an Ice accent.

I've also added a flair, flowers, stamps, wood veneers, diecuts, enamel dots and alpha stickers from my stash.

In addition to the Oct'13 Half Tart kit and mask from the Lime Tart store I've used D-lish Scraps bitty blooms, cosmos daisies & forget-me-nots; a Charms Creations embellishment; Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock; Pebbles roller date stamp; Simple Stories Sn@p alpha stickers; and enamel dots & flair from my stash. I've used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the polaroid frame and life arrow.

Paper Piecing with Prima Doll Stamps!

Have you seen the gorgeous Prima Doll Stamps that are available now. Lime Tart has a selection and ... um ... all of them seemed to jump into my shopping card lol!!

They are quite a bit bigger than the stamps I have used in the past so I've upgraded my cards to a larger 21cm x 10.5cm size. Fortunately there is a 22cm x 11cm sized envelope easily available at most newsagents and post offices so I didn't have to resort to making my own.

I've used a paper piecing technique with these stamps using papers from the gorgeous September '13 Gourmet Tart kit from Lime Tart

First select the patterned papers you would like to use on the stamped image (I just used them on the clothes). I find that smaller prints tend to work better for paper piecing. Then stamp the complete image on some white or cream cardstock, and stamp again on the patterned paper.

Next you will need to get out your best fussy cutting scissors (and fingers) and carefully cut out the images. Cut as close to the outside of the lines as you can. I have also cut out the space between her legs and arms (a craft knife is often best for this).

I then glue the clothes onto the base image and colour the hair and shoes with markers. Finally add this all to the card with some coordinating patterned papers, diecuts, adhesive pearls and twine (all from Lime Tart).

In addition to the Gourmet Tart kit and other products from the Lime Tart store I've used Studio Calico flowers; D-lish Scraps daisies; Stampin' Up! naturals ivory cardstock, ink, birthday stamp, punch & lace trim;  and doilies from my stash.
