Project Life Week 20 - With Scrappy Canary!

Today I'm showing you Week 20 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. I've used lots of goodies from Scrappy Canary, mainly the last of the May Pocket Life Kit - Yum!, as well as other shop items including the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad.
Here is a close up of the LHS.
The large card is cut from the the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad. Then I've used my watercolour pan paints to add some colour. I've also added some layers cut from cards in the kit.
There are lots of fun cards in the kit this month, I've used this one to list some of my favourite eats :)
I design my weekly cards using MS Word on my PC then print them directly on a card. This photo shows the ingredients in our favourite "Mars Bar Chocolate Cake"!
Here is a close up of the RHS. I've used a pocket page with a strip of 4x4 pockets here.
The large card is cut from the the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad. Then I've used my watercolour pan paints to add some colour - it is so pretty! I've also added a wood veneer from my stash and some stickers from a the store.

Birthday Cards - With Paper House Productions!

This week is card week over at Paper House Productions. There is lots of awesome card inspiration so make sure you check it out.

I have made 6 birthday cards. They are aimed for teenage girls and boys (mainly boys!). I struggle with making masculine cards, I think it is because I just love making pretty pink girly cards.

For these cards I've used the the the ColorWays Noir paper pack, added some watercolours and accented with Snapshots. I was going for a teenage grunge look!!
The first set of 3 cards are based on a sketch using circles. All of the strips of paper are from the bottom barcode strip on the 12x12 pages.

The star rub-ons on this card are  from the Be Happy rub-on transfers. The soccer ball sticker is from the soccer snapshot sticker collection. The birthday stamp is from my stash
This next card is slightly more feminine. I've made my own flair using coordinating paper and added some enamel dots from my stash.

I've changed the orientation of this card and added a basket ball related sticker from the basketball snapshot sticker collection.
These next 3 cards have a different design.
The arrow rub-on on this next card is from the Be Happy rub-on transfers. The soccer ball sticker is from the soccer snapshot sticker collection. I designed the birthday sentiments for these 3 cards on my PC using Photoshop and then printed on to cardstock.
The chevron rub-ons on this card are from the Be Happy rub-on transfers. The stickers are from the Urban snapshot sticker collection.
The funky star rub-on on this card is from the Be Happy rub-on transfers. The sticker is from the basketball snapshot sticker collection.

Here is a close up of the LHS.
The large card is cut from the the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad. Then I've used my watercolour pan paints to add some colour.

On the smaller card I've includes hand journalling and another cute clip from the kit!
There are lots of diecuts, word stickers, and cards of various sizes in the kit which are perfect for layering.
Here is a close up of the RHS. I've used a lot of 3x4 and 4x6 photos again this week. I try to have the same number of cards as photos where possible - I prefer that balance.
Here is a pic of my beautiful mum and I!
More layered cuteness!
I design my weekly cards using MS Word on my PC then print them directly on a card. This is a photo of my gorgeous sister and me!

Chocolate Brownies - Scrap The Girls!

The June challenge at Scrap The Girls is a colour challenge.

Aren't these colours amazing!

I decided to use these photo's of Jessica helping me to bake brownies! Licking the spoon is the best part of baking :)
I started by watercolouring my background in a variety of pink colours and some splashes of black for contrast. When it was dry I layered my photos over a doilie and some strips of patterned papers. Then I pulled out one of my favourite boxes of D-Lish Scraps embellishments and added some flowers, flair and tags.
Wood veneer and enamel dots are necessities!
I love these word strips (from D-Lish Scraps too).
For the Scrap The Girls June challenge we have an awesome prize!
See all the information, more amazing inspiration, and the rules on the Scrap The Girls Blog!
Happy Scrapping!

Project Life Week 18 - With Scrappy Canary!

Today I'm showing you Week 18 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. I've used lots of goodies from Scrappy Canary, mainly the last of the May Pocket Life Kit - Yum!, as well as other shop items and the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad.

Here is my 2 page spread. I've included a variety of photos from some everyday activities.
Here is a close up of the LHS.
This card is cut from the the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad. Then I've used my watercolour pan paints to add some colour.
I love the selection and variety of cards in the kit. I've added one of the word stickers and paper clips to this card. When I create my layouts and photograph them I do it all with the cards on top of the plastic sleeves. When I went to put this "dream big" card into the sleeve I had to shift the paperclip because the card was on the back side of the sleeve and wouldn't fit - so I just relocated it to another card on the front side of the sleeve - just something to remember for embellishments that sit outside the card area.
I love the colours in this latest kit and kept my designs simple and achievable!
Here is a close up of the RHS. For this week I've printed all my photos at 3x4 and 4x6 size - certainly makes the creating quicker this way!
Although I don't really like my handwriting it is an important part of memory keeping so I do add it where I can.

This is another card cut from the the Cosmo Cricket just add watercolor 12x12 paper pad. with some watercolour pan paints to add some colour. This look is so easy - you cant go wrong!

On this card I've added another paperclip, a diecut from the pack and a sticker from the sticker sheet - it is so quick and easy to personalise the cards!
I print all my photos on my Epson XP-600

Be Awesome - With Paper House Productions!

Today I'd like to share with you a scrapbook page I made using lots of goodies from Paper House Productions. I've used more photos of Rachael (she took about 40 on my camera!) - aren't they fun!

I've used lots of Paper House Productions goodies - mainly items from the ColorWays collection and Snapshots collection.
After deciding on the basic layout of the page I made my own background using pink and yellow watercolors. The zebra and houndstooth papers are from the ColorWays Noir paper pack - the zebra print is one of my favourites at the moment! I've also used a strip of pink girls night out paper for contrast.
I used to prefer to scrap single photos but lately I've been scrapping multiple photos taken in a sequence. It almost adds an element of movement to the page! Now I always seem to take lots of photos of lots of poses. I challenge you to give your child your camera/phone and see what they come up with - It is precious to see photos from their perspective!
In this cluster I've included a puffy silver geotag from the Believe puffy sticker pack, as well as "hello" from the Explore Puffy stickers pack. The paper flowers and smiley face stickers are from my stash.
I like to use silver glitter card/stickers on my pages but I sometimes find that words are hard to read so I added a strip of blue cardstock behind the sticker - adds a pop of colour to the page as well. I've also added a "today" puffy sticker from the Believe puffy sticker pack.
In this bottom corner I've added a sky sticker from the nature Snapshot sticker pack and a "you make me smile" rub-on from the Be Happy rub-on transfers. I've also added some strips of paper and glitter hearts from my stash

I print all my photos on my Epson XP-600

Project Life Week 17 - With Scrappy Canary!

Today I'm showing you Week 17 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. I've used lots of goodies from Scrappy Canary, mainly the last of the April Pocket Life Kit - Oxford, as well as other shop items.

Here is my 2 page spread. This was the second week of the school holidays. Rachael was away for the week so Jessica had some friends over, we visited the museum and we did some scrapbooking, yay!!
Here is a close up of the LHS. I love the colours and patterns on this kit - have been awesome to use on these pages!
Since I started doing PL I try to remember to take more photos of where we go and what we see - rather than just photos with us in them!
I had fun decorating another card - these button embellishments from the store are awesome!!
Here is a close up of the RHS.
Jessica loved spending the day scrapbooking with me #myselfiescrapbook! She was so happy and proud of herself!
I love this quite in the paper pad ... absolutely!!
I print all my photos on my Epson XP-600
