Little Lilith Loves Butterflies!

The new Lil Little Range over at Tickled Pink Stamps is just adorable. Well, I was lucky to win some digis from a previous challenge - so I couldn't wait to use them. Lil Little Lolita Lilith is just adorable and she features on this card. I'm also joining in Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge # 28 this week which is "cute .... with a butterfly". Hope you likey!
I've also spent some extra time Photoshop'ing my image - following the recommendations of the amazing Jen Schults (here). I was amazed with the results - particularly adjusting the white colour balance!

Lets Get Sketchy!

Woo Hoo ... There's a new sketch challenge blog on the block!! Pink {INK} Sketch Challenges. Of course I had to join in in their first challenge (here). I love sketch challenges - great way to get motivated and inspired. I'm also joining in the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge # 27 - doilies. I've tried a different colour combo than I usually do - very fresh tones compared to the vintage look that I love. I'm quite happy with the result and love the look of the yellow flowers ( I rarely use yellow). I'm still getting used to my copics (the 6 I have anyway hehehe). I've made this for a friend whose birthday is next week - the image reminds me of her! This is also a submission for the Tickled Pink Stamps DT Call.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and for all your lovely comments, I love reading them.

Cutie Birdies For Some Babies!

I just love spending hours (sometime days even) creating a single card or scrapbook layout. I enjoy adding details and spending time colouring. I also sell a lot of cards and surprisingly the cards that are the best sellers are what I call quick cards (no colouring and minimal embellishments). This is due in part due to the lower cost of the simpler cards but also I think many non-card makers just like them better! Well, a friend just asked me to make a baby card for her (twin boys), so I got out a cutsie bird image from PTI that is used with buttons. I love the effect (my friend did too), and I also made a baby girl card too - all in less than 1 hour!
This is a submission for The Stamp Spot Blog July inspiration challenge - where I've taken the birdies as my inspiration!

Time to get scrapbooking!

I do love to scrapbook but I havent done much lately because I find it takes me longer than making a card. I know that is no excuse but I think it is selecting the photos that seems to take me ages. I need to get more organised and get a few selections of photos that are ready to go. The current challenge over at Scrapbook Boutique at the moment is a colour challenge with an inspiration photo - so I decided to get back on the scrapbooking horse and give it a go. This is a SB layout of my youngest daughter at 7 weeks - such cute little toes! Hmmmm now I have a look at the layout and I realise I have forgotten the journalling ... the most important part!!!
Hope you have all had a great weekend.

Time To Get Christmasy!!!

Wowee, Its been a while. I've been itching to do some crafting but I've had the flu and been busy with other things (far less fun than crafting of course) and it just hasnt worked for me. The down time squashed my crafting mojo so I joined the following challenges to inspire me.
The Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge # 25 is "ribbons and lace"
The Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Christmas Challenge for June is "Something Handmade"
The Bizzy Becs Store Blog June Challenge is "Lace"
and a sketch Deconstructed Sketch Challenge # 7.
Last week I did a workshop on Copics. I've been curious for some time and a workshop was the best place to give them a go. It was a lot of fun and I can agree that they are certainly addictive. I decided to start with a few greys (cool greys) and bought 6 different shades. I'm happy to stick with this for now as I like to colour in black and white and I can work on my blending. I still love my prismacolors, my Stampin Up Inks and my Tim Holtz distress inks (why do I really need all these different colouring mediums - because i do!!).
The ribbon I used is off a christmas gift and is the wire edged ribbon so holds the bow shape well. I made my own flower using 2 lace doilies that are held with an antique brad then sprayed with glimmer mist.
Anyway hopey you likey!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and for all your lovely comments, I love reading them.

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge # 21

The Challenge this week at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges Blog is "3 pattern papers". I love patterned papers - and I have plenty of them (lol). Today I have used one of my new favourites, it is the Sweet Stitches DSP from Stampin' Up! Isn't it so bright and fun!! I havent used bright colours on cards for a while because I love the vintage look -  but am really happy with how this turned out. These bright colours go so well with the adorable Lil Pinkettes Pippa. I've also used some coloured twine (everyone seems to be using it lately) and just love the effect. The felt flower is made using the beautiful blooms II dies from PTI - I have had my eye on these for the last 12 months and have just bought them!
This is the last of my contributions as May Guest Designer for the challenge blog. Thanks so much for having me, I have appreciated the opportunity and really enjoyed challenging myself.
