Happy Birthday Honey!!

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Cupcake Craft Challenges where the theme is "Script and Gold". TPS have been having technical issues with the Shop but keep checking back and it will be fixed shortly.

I made this card for my darling Hubby's birthday. I dont make cards as much lately due to all the SMASH*ing fun I've been having and I was feeling a bit like I had lost my mojo. This Luca image is new for me and it looked so fun that I had to use it. I also love the idea of using playing cards and bottle tops. I was pretty happy with how it worked out. I find masculine cards harder to make, how about you?

Card Recipe:
Stamps : Lil Perfect Match Lad 20's Gangster Luca (Tickled Pink Stamps), Well Scripted sentiment (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock: Confetti white, basic black (Stampin' Up!)
Papers: Sunshine collection (Lost & Found)

Other : washi tape (Tim Holtz), car wood veneer (Studio Calico), bottle top (Freckles and Pigtails), playing cards (KaiserCraft), Fleur De Lise accents dies (Spellbinders), transparency(Hambley Screenprints), tag (Stash)

My eldest daughter had her 11th birthday recently and this is the card I made for her. Blue is her favourite colour at the moment and I love how this card worked out with the blue and black. She has very long thick hair and loves to wear it in a pony tail just like School Pinkette Kira!

Laters Baby!

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring ABC Challenges where the challenge is "V for Vanish" - hide something on your creation!

I love to have little "peek-a-boos" on my SMASH* pages or my scrapbook pages. Perfect for hiding personal info or just to make it more interactive!

This is a SMASH* page done in my mini for the 30 day SMASH* challenge on Facebook - it is day 25 envelopes (works perfectly with Vanish!).

This photo on this page is of my wonderful hubby and me so I thought Lil Lolita Kellita and Lil Lad Luca from Tickled Pink Stamps suited perfectly. I recently finished the "50 Shades" series of books so I had to use a phrase from them as well.

SMASH* Recipe
Stamps : Lil Lolita Kellita, Lil Lad Luca (Tickled Pink Stamps),

Other : brad, twine (Stampin' Up!), bag/envelope (Freckles and Pigtails), crocheted doilie, bingo ticket (KaiserCraft), wood veneers (Studio Calico), washi (SMASH*), alphas (October Afternoon) ribbon, tags (stash)

Coraline Parties with Cakewalk!

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Aud Sentiments where the theme is to "Tag It" - pop your sentiment on a tag.

I had fun making this card, tags feature on most of my cards anyway. I decided to make a cutesy girlie birthday cards using my favourite papers at the moment - Cakewalk by October Afternoon!
I coloured the gorgeous Party Pinkette Coraline in greys again (I love this look) and guess what ... 3 of my copics ran out. Can you believe it. I was initially surprised as I've only had them for 11 months and I dont do that much colouring, but I do a lot of grey colouring and it was the 3 lightest shades that do get the most use. Now they are refilled thanks to my LSS and only cost $2 each which I thought was very reasonable. Anyways, here's my card! What do you think?

Card Recipe:
Stamps : Party Pinkette Coraline (Tickled Pink Stamps) tag and sentiment (Bizzy Becs)
Cardstock: Confetti white, garden green (Stampin' Up!)
Papers: CakeWalk collection (October Afternoon)

Coloured with: Copics (cool Greys)
Other : ribbon (October Afternoon), doilie, cupcake sticker (Stash)

Walking in a Winter Wonderland with Christina!

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Winter Wonderland Challenges where the theme is Christmas - but with the twist to use your a sentiment as your focal point.

Wow, Christmas. Hmm, I'm not ready to think about that yet. Last year I started to make my Christmas cards at the start of the year. But this year it hasnt interested me in the slightest. Part of the reasoning is I'm waiting for the yummy new Christmas products to be released! So, to tell the truth this challenge really stumped me. And also to have the sentiment as the focal point - how is that possible with an image? I know I've seen cards in the past that have the image as a watermark so I tried to do something like that here. I love vintage Christmas cards so I went back to my roots with the vintage look and printed the image on kraft paper then just cut it out and didnt colour it. Perhaps not my favourite card but I think it works. And, do you recognise the ribbon and bell? Its from a Lindt Easter Bunny - pretty dont you think!

Card Recipe:
Stamps : Lil Victorian Christmas Lolita Christina, sentiment and die (Tickled Pink Stamps)
Cardstock: Confetti white, early espresso, kraft (Stampin' Up!)
Papers: Christmas Past (Graphic 45)
Other : Fleur De Lise accents dies (Spellbinders), doilie, wooden bird, bell and ribbon (Stash)

Willow, You Are So Fab'n'Funky!

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Fab'n'Funky Challenges where the Challenge is "Stars and Stripes".

I'm so in love with the new Cakewalk collection by October Afternoon. I've loved most of the October Afternoon collections for a while now and this is definitely my new favourite. I've kept this card simple in line with "Fab'n'Funky" and you just have to love these gorgeous stripe and star papers! I've cut strips of the matching washi tape for the sentiment. Suits Lil Futuristic Lolita Willow perfectly.

Card Recipe:
Stamps :  Lil Futuristic Lolita Willow (Tickled Pink Stamps)
Cardstock: Naturals ivory, Lucky Limeade, poppy parade, so saffron (Stampin' Up!)
Papers: Cakewalk collection (October Afternoon)
Coloured with: Copics (cool Greys)
Other : naturals ivory  (Stampin' Up!), Cakewalk button, brad, tickets, washi (October Afternoon), twine, flat backed button (Stash)

Create A Hullaballoo At The Library!

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Cupcake Craft Challenges where the Challenge is "eyelets". Hmmm, that was initially a hard one for me as I dont use eyelets much at all. So, I had to get really creative and this is what I came up with!!

I've done a SMASH* page (in my blue book) for this challenge. I love that these pages are already partially decorated. I dont always like the decoration (I have actually covered the RH page here) but I love this LH page. I often use this decoration as the inspiration for my layout.

We love to go to our local library regularly and this gorgeous School Pinkette Kira looks a bit like my cutie daughter. I've used a fun library card, fabric yo-yo and flat-backed button from  Freckles and Pigtails as well as my new SMASH* label maker! I was trying to do something like a shoe and shoe-laces with the eyelets - not sure if thats how it looks but it seemed to get too hard in the end!

Happy Crafting!!
