2012 SMASH Journal Finished!

I have finally finished my 2012 SMASH book. I used the orange book and just loved it for a "yearly diary/journal" - the pages are not as busy as some of the SMASH books are. I used about 6-8 pages per month which was achievable for me. I plan on using my 365 SMASH book for 2013! I will probably use less bulky embellishments in my 2013 book because it gets too bulky. Another option would be to have 2 books and only fill about half the pages in each .. Hmm will think about that!

Here is a view of the completed book. I decided not to decorate the front because I find it is harder for me to store.
I kept the first page fairly plain
These pages have photos from a local Christmas pageant. It was 40degC that day and we almost melted it was so hot. My youngest daughter Jessica was on the Kindy float "under the sea". She dressed as a fairy ... of course! She was so excited! It made me cry it was all so beautiful and special. Rachael and I wrote silly messages on the road using the chalk "Please Santa, I can explain!" we got a few amused looks!
These last pages are from Christmas day - just the general larger than life excitement!

G'day from the Whispering Wall!

Just after Christmas we went on a drive to the Whispering Wall nearby. It is just amazing. It is a curved concrete wall built to dam the water in the area. The curved properties mean you can stand at one end and talk and people at the other end can hear you, like you are standing beside them ... eerie in a way!

This page was perfect to use the "Australia Day" stamp set from Give A Girl A ... I've put the "G'day" inside the speech bubble from the "Endless Summer" stamp set - I just inked the bubble part with a marker then stamped, easy!

I've used my Orange SMASH* folio and other products including Amy Tangerine, Studio Calico wood veneer, October Afternoon alphas, and a doilie from my stash!

A Christmas Nutcracker!

This post continues on from my last post with another SMASH page of us decorating our Christmas tree this year. Here I've used the latest digi from Angie Delarie's Christmas 2012 range, specifically the North Pole Characters Nutty Nutcracker digi - dont ya just lurve him!!

I've also included a close up of our tree which shows some of Angie's "Christmas Tree Garland Angel's". I print them out on photo paper paper then cut out and assemble - they are about 8cm tall. Arent they sweet!

I've splattered some red and green paint in my Orange SMASH* folio and used a heap of my favourite products including Angie Delarie's North Pole Characters Nutty Nutcracker digi, Studio Calico wood veneer trees, October Afternoon Holiday Style miscellany, stickers & flower sack, Marth Stewart snowflake punch, and twine, rhinestones, washi, striped bag & tag from my stash!

Santa, I've Been Goodish!

We had so much fun decorating our Christmas tree this year. There was a thunderstorm outside (and it was about 36degC) and the power was off so I had a captive audience including dad!! lucky it was daylight savings so we had enough light.

I've splattered some red and green paint in my Orange SMASH* folio and used a heap of my favourite products including Angie Delarie's North Pole Characters Wendy hanging the Wreath digi, Give A Girl A ... "Christmas Time is Beaut" stamp set, Studio Calico wood veneer bird and stars, October Afternoon Holiday Style miscellany, washi & flower sack, Marth Stewart snowflake punch, and doilie, twine, rhinestones & tag from my stash!
