Art Journalling - With Scrapping Clearly!

Today I have some Art Journal pages to share with you and a little step-by-step, made using lots of goodies from Scrapping Clearly.

I'm part of one of the "Circle Journal" groups organised by Scrapping Clearly where we have all made a journal out of brown paper bags (yes! can you believe it!!). We have decorated the cover and a page inside then we send it on to other members of the group. In 12 months time it will make its way home to me with pages decorated by all the other lovely people in the group - how fun!!!

I thought I would share how I made one of the pages in one of the circle journals.

In the first pic you can see the blank paper bag pages. I've put a sheet of copy paper under each page to minimise transferring of paint to other pages in the journal. I've laid out the Dylusions paints I wanted to use (fresh lime, cut grass and calypso teal). I've used a Ranger mini-ink blending tool to apply each of the paint layers. I use the blending tool to take some of the paint off the lid and apply it to my craft mat - this allows for a more even coverage of paint.

In the next photo I've applied fresh lime paint over all of my pages. I use a circular motion to apply using the foam blending tool.
I use a similar technique to apply the green and blue paints randomly across my pages.

Next I use 2 different stencils and apply the lime and green paints through the stencils across the pages.
Next I applied texture paste through a stencil. Then I added some background stamps over my page and a Darkroom Door "Leafy Lady" feature stamp. I added some black gelato around the edges of my pages and rubbed them in with my finger.
Here are my completed pages.
I printed out a quote onto some copy paper, cut it out and stuck on my page.
I added some glitter glue accents on my "leafy lady".
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Dylusions Paints
Ranger mini ink blending tool
Ranger Dylusions brick Stencil
The Crafters Workshop 6x6 Mayan Calendar
