Here are more pages for July in my "Currently Me 2014" journal. I've included photos just of me this time. The first photo was when we went ice skating - yes I can still do it (even though there were a few bum splats!!) The next photo was taken during an evening walk at the beach - I just love the sun-flare I captured!
Products I've used include: Kellie Stamps "OMG" from the Awesome Flair set; Stampin' Up! Epic Day This and That Journal, washi tape, designer series paper, and stickers; Studio Calico wood veneer and cork arrows; Currently card (free digi download) from Kristin at Rukristin; Pebbles roller date stamp; Simple Stories stickers; roller stamps, paperclip and enamel dots from my stash..

3 Generations!
I'm so excited!!! Recently I had my first pages published in a magazine!!! yay!!! it was in Scrapbooking Memories Vol 17 No 1 (their facebook page is here). I also had a second page published - see here.
I've also used a shipping tag, paper doilie, white muslin and flat backed pearl from my stash.
Although I have been on a number of DT over the years I had never considered publishing in magazines. I would recommend you all try if you are interested. You may not get in first time and you may only have 1 out of 2 or 3 (or more) accepted but the magazine publishes lots of different styles so "give it a go".
I've created this background using some Core'dinations cardstock (by Stampin' Up!) that I randomly sanded to give a distressed/aged look.
I printed my photo in black and white to keep with the vintage look. I layered some patterned papers (Stampin' Up!) and a tag under my photo then I added lots of amazing and fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps - including white, cream and brown Forget Me Nots, brown Cherry Blossoms, brown Cosmos Daisies, brown and cream Lilly's, small and large Metal flligree leaves, and Metal 6 petal filigree flower.
I used some Amy Tangerine fabric thickers for my title. I've also used a shipping tag, paper doilie, white muslin and flat backed pearl from my stash.

Currently Creative - Currently Me, Weeks 28-29!
Every Wednesday is a "Currently Creative Link-up" over on Kellie's Blog. To tell the truth I haven't been very creative lately - life hasn't allowed it. But I've got lots of plans!!
Lately I have been working on my "Currently Me 2014" journal. My aim is to record weekly my own personal interests and activities with the aim of being able to reflect back over the months. Most of my scrapbooking tends to be about my girls and our family so this is something I do just for myself. I hope you all make time to Scrap/SMASH* or PL pages about yourself :) I'm keeping it simple, using papers etc from mainly 1 collection, using lots of stamps, and using relatively flat embellishments.
These pages are for the start of July. The first photo is of John, Jessica and myself on a family trip to the zoo. The other photo is of myself and Rachael - aww!!
Products I've used include: Stampin' Up! Epic Day This and That Journal, washi tape, designer series paper, and stickers; Studio Calico wood veneer; Currently card (free digi download) from Kristin at Rukristin; Pebbles roller date stamp; Simple Stories stickers; cork sheets, punches, roller stamps, and stickers from my stash..

My youngest daughter loves spending time out in the garden. She loves picking flowers and mixing up mud pies in her "cafe". On this day I found a frog in one of the pot plants. At first Jessica was hesitant to touch it but after I showed her that I could do it she was happy to try herself.
I've created this background using the Painting with Plastic technique and using range of pink and grey Dylusions colours.
LAYOUT REMOVED AWAITING PUBLICATION
I've used lots of amazing and fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps: Wow word bubble wood veneer, pink pinwheel blooms, light pink and hot pink Sweetheart Blooms, hot pink Sweet Petites, watercolour script words flair, cupcake Corbett Creations Ply Icons, triangle and arrow D-lish Dots Enamels, pink Spiral Stamens, rainbow Bitty Bags, manilla Shipping Tags, Spool Top Sentiments, amd Arrow word tabs.

Dare To Dream Big!
When we were driving a few weeks ago I looked back to see my daughter totally engrossed in her phone and a perfect halo of sunlight in the background - perfect photo opportunity!! And perfect for scrapping!!
I started my page by using a starburst stencil and a range of Heidi Swapp colorshine sprays (red -orange-yellow). I had sprayed the stencil over a page then I took the stencil and "stamped" it on another page - that is what I've used for this background.
I loved the background as it was and didnt want to cover it up so I used my "no paper" scrapbooking style and added just a few embellishments to highlight the photo and background.
I've used lots of amazing and fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps: The wood veneer are Freckled Fawn Wood Chip birds, music notes and hearts. I've also used yellow Forget Me Not, orange coloured wire, orange polkadot button, orange Rambling Roses, apricot Hand dyed muslin, orange Hand-Dyed Seam Binding, and orange heart mini sequins. I've scattered the sequins across the page (to give a random look) then I dot glue next to them, then I use a Clever Sequin Pick-up Pencil to place the sequins on the glue - easy.
I've used a KaiserCraft stamp for my title - I love these stamps!!

Ice Skating!
Today I have some SMASH* pages to share from July in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). Once again I made the calendar using MS Word - A great way to record our daily activities. The photos were taken at our local Ice Arena during the recent school holidays. The girls hadn't been ice skating before but they had a fabulous time and weren't put off by falling over a few times!
I've mainly used the Freckled Fawn OHDEERME July kit. The puffy heart stickers and the chipboard hearts are adorable and I just love using the stamps from the kit. I've also used: washi and a paper doilie from my stash; and a selection of roller stamps (Pebbles, October Afternoon, Studio Calico, Dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine).

She is so Creative!
Finally I've got an opportunity to do some blogging. I have had the flu for the past few weeks and it has really wiped me out! I havent had a flu like this for some time. Today is the first day of spring here. We had a glorious weekend of weather but the rain has returned today.
Today I have 2 more pages from June in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). The photos are of the amazingly creative scrapbooking and floral arranging of my youngest daughter - isnt she adorable :)
I've mainly used the Freckled Fawn OHDEERME July kit - I just love this kit. There are lots of fun chipboard diecuts that are perfect for SMASH*ing and the stamps can be reused on every page. The washi tape is quite wide so I've torn it in half longways and attached to my pages - I love the torn look! I've also used: Kellie Stamps Shapes stamp sets; and a selection of roller stamps (Pebbles, October Afternoon, Studio Calico, Dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine).
