Today I'm sharing3 birthday cards card made using lots of gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard.
I made this first card for Jessica's 9th birthday. I've used papers from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection - arent they so pretty!! I've uased my watercolour pan paints to paint the chipboard using mainly pinks to coordinate with the papers and I created am ombre effect on the sentiment and frame.
The next card was made for my dear sister-in-law Carol's birthday - I love the happy yellow colour teamed with the fresh green. Again I painted my chipboard with watercolour pan paints then added a layer of glossy accents to make it shine! The papers are from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection.
This last card was made for a friends 50th birthday. Being a male card I used brown coloured pan paints, a KaiserCraft paper pad, and I distressed the edges of the paper.
I love the rose stamps in this set and wanted to feature them on my card fronts. For this first card I randomly stamped the single rose image across the card usingTsukineko versamark stamp padthen I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I used my Prima Watercolor Confections to watercolour the card. Once dry I mounted this onto a mat of Pink Paislee "Moonstruck" - Paper 11then onto the card base. Lastly I added 2 different Heidi Swapp alphas for my sentiment.
For the second card I used the same technique and procedure but this time used a stamp with 2 roses and leaves and placed them in opposite corners of the card.
Here are some close-ups of the embossing and watercolouring - I just love this effect!!
Today I'm sharinga Scrapbook layout made using lots of gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard.
I
started by painting my background using Prima Watercolor Confections
(white, grey, black and gold). This is my favourite colour combination at the moment :) I first added each colour using a painting with plastic technique, then I added splatters of each colour.
I also painted my chipboard with the same
paints.
I clustered the title and leaves at the bottom left corner of my photo. The placement of leaves across the page mimic'd the trees and leaves framing the sunrise.
I layered some coordinating papers and a gold doilie under my photograph.
A cluster of tags, chipboard leaves and a metal charm was added to the top of the page.
A selection of chipboard leaves of different sizes was used. See how the gold paint sparkles!
On the Imaginarium Designs Blog this month all of the designers are showcasing "Where We Create". You must check out all of the amazing spaces - some are even like what you see in the magazines!!Well, My space is a bit more practical - but nontheless it works for me.
My craft space is in the main living area of our house. I like being where everyone else is. There is a formal dining space off to the side and I use an old dining table to work on - I share it with my 2 daughters! I have 2 Ikea Expedit storage units and I also use a lot of 12x12 plastic storage boxes and pizza boxes to store supplies for different classes and products for different design teams (its a great way to keep them all separate!). It is a small and messy area but it works for me.
On mydesk everything is within easy reach. I keep paints, mists and spyays in boxes in my Expedit that I get out when I need to use them. My watercolour pan paints are a favourite though and live on the corner of my desk :)
Where do YOU create?? and HOW do you store your supplies?? I'd love to see!! post me a link :)
Today
I'm showing you Week 28 part 1for my "Schultz Family 2016" Project Life Album. It has beenmade using the Pink Paislee "Moonstruck" collection(papers, cork stickers with glitter accents, ephemera and puffy stickers) available in the Scrapping Clearly Store. I had so many photos for this week so I've used 4 pages in my Project Life album :)
Here is a close up of the LHS. I've cut papers from the Moonstruck collection down to 4"x4" cards for this page and added a range of cork, paper and puffy sticker elements.
I painted onto 2"x2" cardstock in coordinating colours (using Prima Watercolor Confections) then stamped with words from the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane stamp set. This is a great way to personalise your pages.
I also like to add tickets, cards and keepsakes from our holiday.
On one of the cards I painted with my Prima Watercolor Confectionsthen stamped with flowers from the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane stamp set. I then added some die cut elements. This is one of my all time favourite cards!!
Jessica was so brave trying the indoor skydiving! I attached a piece of her wrist band to the photo. I also added some handwritten journalling and a die cut butterfly to a card.
