Today's scrapbook share is a page I made using mainly the September OHDEERME kit from Freckled Fawn as well as lots of other FF yummies! I've used lots of wood veneer on this page as well as a gorgeous gold doilie and more of the cute
little flair.
The
photo's used here are of Rachael reading - a bit of a rare moment. We have this amazing hanging chair outside that is so comfy to sit in and gently swing. It was actually one I had as a child and asked mum if I could have it.
I
started by using a paintbrush to watercolour orange and yellow Dylusions inks on
white cardstock (that had been primed with clear gesso).
Once
the page was thoroughly dry I layered paper (from the Studio
Calico Printshop collection) and a gold paper doilie under my photos.
All the stamps and embellishments are from various OHDEERME kits - they
are so easy to mix and match!
I've always loved using doilies on my projects - I'm particularly loving gold and silver ones at the moment!
The cork accents work perfectly on this page.

Holiday Fun!
Today I have 2 pages from October in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). There are photos from the recent school holidays when we went to the cinema to see "Planes - Fire and Rescue" and we went to Port Adelaide to the Maritime and Aviation museums.
On these pages I've used the Freckled Fawn August and September OHDEERME kits - the journalling stamp is a great way to frame any journalling on your pages.
I made the calendar using MS Word - A great way to record our daily activities.

Fabulous Friends!
Last year many of my friends had 40th birthdays. This photo is from Sharyn's where the theme was "Red and Formal". Dont we all look so glamorous!!
I've printed this photo out a number of times in b/w and made gifts for friends but i hadn't done one for myself. So I decided to print the photo in colour and keep my papers to b/w and add a few red embellishments.
All the papers are from the Studio Calico Printshop collection. The embellishments are all from D-lish Scraps, some from the "Simply Fabulous" October "Just Add Paper" kit, as well as lots of other yummy goodies.

Sydney!
Today I have 2 more pages from September in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio).
In September John had his 50th birthday and we celebrated by spending a family weekend in Sydney. It was awesome! Even just the fun of going on an aeroplane and train and staying in a motel. We enjoyed eating out and seeing all the famous Sydney sights. Rachael loved the wax museum and Jessica loved the Aquarium.
On these pages I've used the Freckled Fawn August and September OHDEERME kits - the stickers and stamps are some of my favourites.
I love not having to use any patterned paper in my SMASH* books. The fun and quirky background pages are perfect on their own!

Hold My Hand!
Today's scrapbook share is a page I made using mainly the September OHDEERME kit from Freckled Fawn. I've been subscribing to these kits for a few months now and I love them. Some of my favourite goodies from this kit are the stamps and the cute little flair.
The
photo's used here were taken on Father's Day then we took a picnic lunch to the River Murray.
I started by using a paintbrush to watercolour green and blue Dylusions inks on white cardstock (that had been primed with clear gesso).
Once the page was thoroughly dry I layered paper (from the Studio Calico Printshop collection) and a silver paper doilie under my photo. All the stamps and embellishments are from various OHDEERME kits - they are so easy to mix and match!
The paperclips are also other favourites of mine.

Sweet!
Jessica loves to write us letters. We get them most days. She often wakes up in the morning and goes straight to the craft table and starts on a project (not at all interested in getting ready for school!!). When she wrote this letter and added a colourful rainbow I knew I should display it on a scrapbook page - how cute is the spelling :)
I had some colourful paper (from the Studio Calico Printshop collection) that resembled a rainbow so I used this as the background then added a small amount of embellishments so as not to distract from the sweet letter.
The embellishments are all from D-lish Scraps - I really love the "Journal its" wordfetti!!

Photo Bomb!
Today's scrapbook share is another project I made for the recent D-lish Scraps cybercrop (see the Scrap Suite facebook group here). One of the challenges I did was "make your own patterned paper - and add a heart". This challenge was perfect for me - I love making my own background paper, so here is my page.
The photo was taken on a family holiday to Sydney. My family love to do silly photo's and photo bombing has become a favourite of late!!
I started by using a paintbrush to watercolour yellow and orange Dylusions inks on white cardstock (that had been primed with clear gesso).
Once the page was thoroughly dry I added strips of paper (from the Studio Calico Printshop collection) under my photo, then I added lots of D-lish Scraps embellishments .
Finally I journalled around the edge of my page.

Be You!
A few weeks ago D-lish Scraps had a weekend cybercrop (see the Scrap Suite facebook group here) with 5 awesome challenges. I havent participated in an online challenge for ages, mainly because previously I've been involved in setting the challenges, and it was so much fun participating. There was so much awesome inspiration and so many enthusiastic participants.
One if the challenges I did was "to use the colour purple in your project with the added twist of purple flowers". And here is my page.
The photo of Rachael was taken on my phone. She took a selfie then made it the wallpaper so I see it every time I look at my phone. It is one of my favourite photos of her :)
I started by spraying lime green, turquoise and purple Dylusions inks on white cardstock (that had been primed with clear gesso), I held the page up so the mist would run. The lime green wasnt as vibrant as I would have liked - it tended to muddy with the purple. I also splattered each of these inks across the page for extra interest.
Once the page was thoroughly dry I added lots of D-lish Scraps embellishments - mainly from the "simply fabulous" just add paper kit - I just love the "journal its minifetti word sheet".
Being a Wednesday it is also "Currently Creative Link-up" over on Kellie's Blog - Check it out for lots of amazing creative inspiration.

We R Family!
Todays share is a scrapbook page and card I had published in the Scrapbooking Memories magazine. It was in Vol 17 No 3 in the "Free paper project ideas" where I showcased 7 Dots Studio paper and scrapabet.
For both the scrapbook page and the card I created a background on kraft cardstock using a Studio Calico stencil and a range of Prima and KaiserCraft stamps - I love the grunge look it gives! I also splattered some black Dylusions inks across the pages.

Then I added some strips of the 7 Dot Studio paper under the photo and fussy cut some alphas from the scrapabet to make the title. I added a text stamp from Kellie Stamps under the photo.
To embellish I've added some D-lish Scraps goodies - paper flowers, resin flowers, and flair; as well as Studio Calico wood veneers; Freckled Fawn wood veneers; American Crafts button; and a Pebbles roller date stamp.
I've used a similar design for the card - adding some twine for a more masculine look.

The Adelaide Show!
We love going to Shows/Fairs and this year the Royal Adelaide Show was no exception. I love to enter some scrapbooking pages, we love to look at the animals, a few showbags must be purchased and the carnival rides are a hit with the girls.
Today I have 2 pages from September in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). With photos from the Show of course! We milked a cow, held a baby piglet, and checked out all the awesome scrapbooking entries!!
On these pages I've mainly used the Freckled Fawn August OHDEERME kit - I love the wood veneer frames and the glitter chevron enamels.

Fathers Day!
Today I have 2 pages are from September in my "SMASH*ing 2014" Journal (using the Tasty SMASH* folio). Once again I made the calendar using MS Word - A great way to record our daily activities. There are photos from Fathers Day - dont you just love the "Keep Calm and Agree with Dad" t-shirt!
On these pages I've mainly used the Freckled Fawn August OHDEERME kit - I just love the clear word stickers, they are perfect for adding to photos, and the small flair are adorable. Just a few embellishments and the patterned pages that are already in the SMASH* book mean that you can quickly put together your pages - this is what I love about SMASH*ing!

All By Myself!
Todays share is another page I had published in the Scrapbooking Memories magazine!!! It was in Vol 17 No 3 (their facebook page is here) in the "Things they say" gallery.
The photo was taken when my youngest daughter Jessica was learning to roller skate. Although she fell over many times she would get straight back up "all by myself" lol!!
The photo was taken when my youngest daughter Jessica was learning to roller skate. Although she fell over many times she would get straight back up "all by myself" lol!!
I've created this background by first covering a white cardstock sheet with white gesso. Then I painted on some bright pink Dylusions ink. After deciding on the photo placement I painted my title using a small paintbrush and some black gouache paint. Although I'm not particularly fond of my handwriting I still like to highlight it on my page - it all adds to the character :)
I've added some handwritten journalling with a black SMASH* pen then underlined it.
I've added lots of amazing and fun embellishments from D-lish Scraps - paper flowers, crochet flower, journal spot, paper tags, resin flowers, pvc doilie; as well as Pinkfresh Studio wood veneers; Freckled Fawn wood veneers; Amy Tangerine flair; Jillibean Soup alpha stickers; and a Pebbles roller date stamp.

I've also used a Currently card (free digi download) from Kristin at Rukristin, and some October Afternoon roller stamps and Pebbles roller date stamp.
