A few weeks ago D-lish Scraps had a weekend cybercrop (see the Scrap Suite facebook group here) with 5 awesome challenges. I havent participated in an online challenge for ages, mainly because previously I've been involved in setting the challenges, and it was so much fun participating. There was so much awesome inspiration and so many enthusiastic participants.
One if the challenges I did was "to use the colour purple in your project with the added twist of purple flowers". And here is my page.
The photo of Rachael was taken on my phone. She took a selfie then made it the wallpaper so I see it every time I look at my phone. It is one of my favourite photos of her :)
I started by spraying lime green, turquoise and purple Dylusions inks on white cardstock (that had been primed with clear gesso), I held the page up so the mist would run. The lime green wasnt as vibrant as I would have liked - it tended to muddy with the purple. I also splattered each of these inks across the page for extra interest.
Once the page was thoroughly dry I added lots of D-lish Scraps embellishments - mainly from the "simply fabulous" just add paper kit - I just love the "journal its minifetti word sheet".

Today's crafty share for you is two more pages for September in my "Currently Me 2014" SMASH* journal. On these pages I've used the last of the My Paper Balloon September embellishment kit. I cant believe I made 10 SMASH* pages with it (plus a few additional embellishments).
The photos I've included are a family pic of us Jamin' with Jimmie at the Wax Museum in Sydney, and a selfie taken after a haircut - feels a bit short this time :)
In addition to the kit I've used some Pinkfresh Studio Navajo arrows and hearts, Freckled Fawn emoticon wood veneers and D-Lish Scraps Wow speech bubble wood veneer. I've also used a Currently card (free digi download) from Kristin at Rukristin, and some October Afternoon roller stamps and Pebbles roller date stamp.
Being Wednesday it is also "Currently Creative Link-up" over on Kellie's Blog - Check it out for some creative inspiration.

Every Wednesday is a "Currently Creative Link-up" over on Kellie's Blog. To tell the truth I haven't been very creative lately - life hasn't allowed it. But I've got lots of plans!!
Lately I have been working on my "Currently Me 2014" journal. My aim is to record weekly my own personal interests and activities with the aim of being able to reflect back over the months. Most of my scrapbooking tends to be about my girls and our family so this is something I do just for myself. I hope you all make time to Scrap/SMASH* or PL pages about yourself :) I'm keeping it simple, using papers etc from mainly 1 collection, using lots of stamps, and using relatively flat embellishments.
These pages are for the start of July. The first photo is of John, Jessica and myself on a family trip to the zoo. The other photo is of myself and Rachael - aww!!
Products I've used include: Stampin' Up!
