Christmas Album - November 24-27!

I'm nearing the end of November in my Schultz Christmas 2014 Album - up to 24-27 November. I really try and document my daily activities and general business in this busy lead up to Christmas. Although I really don't like my handwriting I also like to use it on my pages. Firstly it is quick to do this and also it adds a personal touch.

As I'm new to Project Life I'm also new to the different page protectors available. Until now I only had a portrait orientation for the larger cards. I found a variety pack available from Stampin' Up! and just love the different options. But I do find that I need to sit at my computer and sort/print photos with the specific pages in mind.

Another thing I realised is that most Project Lifer's also show 2 pages at a time - can you tell I'm from a scrapbooking background! So I've worked out how to join my 2 photos and show as a "spread".
Here is a closer look at the LHS.

And the RHS.

Supplies include: Teresa Collins Albums made easy journalling cards - Studio Gold (shine, so charming, well isn't that lovely); Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit (3x4 dots, sparkle and shine, be kind); Scrappy Canary number wood veneer; Freckled Fawn wood veneer (hearts, emoticon); gold geotag and arrow paperclip; Studio Calico snow flake wood veneer; Chic Tags gold alphas; Teresa Collins Tinsel and Company patterned paper; A Piece Of Cake Designs Elf flair; Stampin' Up! grid 3x4 cards; Pink Paislee Merry and Bright black glitter Christmas words; Heidi Swapp gold glitter words; SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

Life Zesters - Challenge 1!

I'm so excited to be part of a new Challenge blog "Life Zesters"
It is a blog (and facebook community) for Project Life Challenges!!

The first Challenge is all about "Show us your style".

Well my style is constantly evolving - as I'm sure is the case for many of you! But a few things I like to include on my projects are paper doilies, wood veneer, flair, and I love to  make my own patterned paper using stamps or paints (or both).

On this page I've mainly used the October Cupcake kit from A Piece of Cake Designs. I love the bright colours of the patterned papers, and the 6x6 size is perfect to cut up to use in the pockets. I've used the stamp and ink from the kit to make the yellow card, and I've used watercolour painting to make another card. I love using an old typewriter for the journalling on my cards.
I've also added some Freckled Fawn wood veneer and D-lish Scraps paper flowers.
Now it would'nt be a challenge blog without prizes would it! And for this first challenge we have not 1 but 2 awesome sponsors.
 AND
Scrapbooking from Scratch is offering a $50 voucher including postage
and
Simply Stamping (see blog here) is donating a $50 voucher including postage for Australian residents, or $50 worth of product with the winner paying postage for an International winner.
How Awesome!!

See all the information, more amazing inspiration, and the rules on the blog!
Happy Project Life'ing!!

Lucky!

Here is another page in my Schultz Christmas 2014 Album - for 22-23 November. I didn't take many photos on these days - must have been mid week. Photos include our cheeky elves playing in the bathroom with loo paper and having a cotton wool bath - too cute!

I kept these pages very simple with only 2 wooden embellishments - can you believe it! The gold cards are so pretty though, they are all you need!

Supplies include: Teresa Collins Albums made easy journalling cards - Studio Gold (the 2 smaller cards and the lucky card); Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit (the other large cards); Scrappy Canary number wood veneer; SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

Crazy!

Although I''m only up to blogging 20/21st November in my Schultz Christmas 2014 Album I'm really up to mid December - but still have some catching up to do. Using ready made cards and printing photos to the pocket size really speed up the process - hopefully I can finish by the end of the year.

As you can still see many of my photos are of our Elves activities. I've also included a photo of some of my handmade Christmas cards and me being silly with "Cherries". With Christmas time being summer time here in Australia it also means that it is cherry time - yumm!

Supplies include: Becky Higgins Project Life Golden card kit; Scrappy Canary number wood veneer; Freckled Fawn wood veneer (hearts and word); SMASH* pen for journalling. Photos printed on my Epson XP-600.

The Places We'll Go!

Today's scrapbook share is a page I made where I stamped my own background. It was different to the usual backgrounds I make using watercolours and patterned stamps. I have a KaiserCraft set of stamps with 3 different sayings on them - all perfect for scrapbooking. So I repeatedly stamped these across my background in a blue colour except for 3 places where I used a black ink to highlight the sayings. I quite like the effect - and I always like making my own patterned paper!!

The photos were taken on our recent trip to Sydney. I just love Rachael photo-bombing in the background - too funny!!
I've cut a heap of strips of patterned paper from the Studio Calico Printshop collection to layer under and around my photos, and I've also added a silver paper doilie. Most of the embellishments are from the My Paper Balloon November embellishment kit.

Jessica's grandparents couldn't make it so we went :)

Currently Me - Weeks 46-47!

Today's crafty share for you is two pages for November in my "Currently Me 2014" SMASH* journal.
The first photo was taken outside the Adelaide Entertainment centre at the Katy Perry concert and the other photo was a selfie at a roadside farmers fruit stall where I love to buy my apples.

On these pages I've mainly used the My Paper Balloon November embellishment kit. In addition to the kit I've used Currently card (free digi download) from Kristin at Rukristin, some stickers from Stampin' Up!, and some October Afternoon roller stamps.
