Project Life Week 1 - with Scrappy Canary!

Today I'm showing you Week 1 (part 1 actually) for my "Schultz Family 2016" Project Life Album. 

This week I've used the January Pocket Life kit Roy from Scrappy Canary. The photos are from our summer beach holiday, we had an amazing time!

Here is a close up of the LHS. I've included lots of handwritten journalling and some more painting as well as used lots of fun embellishments and cards from the kit!

I love the cards in this kit (Studio Calico Goldie journal cards). There plenty of space for journalling on each card. The other side of the card is a complete pattern if you prefer. 

A die cut heart and a puffy sticker is all the embellishment needed here. 

Here is a close up of the RHS. I chose a different pocket layout for this page for a change. 

More cute diecuts and puffy stickers. I was undecided whether or not to colour in the cup - I prefer the uncoloured look I think! 

I purchased these printables last year but never used them - perfect for the uncluttered look of this page. 

 The "#got this" sticker is actually gold on black - bit hard to photograph but perfect to use on the cards!

I've included more painting on this card, I want to try and remember to do this throughout my album if I remember. These lines and colours go well with the beach theme of my photos.  

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

Hello Today - with Imaginarium Designs!

This month I'm a guest designer at Kraft Plus Challenges, where Imaginarium Designs are the sponsors for the month! The challenge theme for February is "going postal" and we want you to be inspired by postage stamps!

I've created a scrapbook page using lots of gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard and with a big emphasis on Kraft! 

In keeping with the postal stamp theme I've included some photos of Jessica looking through Dad's old stamp album, as well as some stamps from my childhood collection.

I've used papers and embellishments from the November/December scrapbook kit "Leila" from Scrappy Canary for this page - these colours go perfect with kraft.

I chose some chipboard words for my title and added lots of chevrons across my page - I've left them all raw to go with the kraft! 

I love this square pattern with the chipboard - adds a modern touch to go with the style of my page.

I used lots of the chevrons over a strip of paper at the bottom of my page. It was very fiddly but I love the overall effect.

In my old stamp collection I found these 4 consecutive Christmas stamps from 1981-1984. I thought it was interesting to see the price rose from 18c to 30c in that time!

Project Life Cover Page 2016 - with Scrappy Canary!

Today I'm showing you the title page of my "Schultz Family 2016" Project Life Album.

I've used the January Pocket Life kit Roy from Scrappy Canary. This is probably my favourite PL kit so far. I love that there are lots of cards, and lots of black and white - very modern and versatile colours. I also love the pack of Kaisercraft die-cuts in the kit - just adorable!

I decided on quite a different look for this page and kept it almost scrapbook style. I started with a sheet of 12x12 cardstock and painted some yellow lines across the page as shown. I used acrylic paints this time - just some from my girls art packs. I love the thickness and vibrancy of acrylic paints, I just added a bit of water so it would flow to my liking.

Once the paint had dried (which did take some time as it was quite thick in places) I added a strip of paper along the bottom of the page. This strip was from some paper in the January Scrapbook kit Andy - a barcode strip actually! Then I added some accents from the die-cut pack, the sticker pack and the puffy stickers from the kit. I love the variety of shapes of the puffy stickers!

Next I cut the 12x12 sheet into 3x4 cards and replaced one of the painted cards with a card from the kit embellished with diecuts. I watercoloured the pot plant for some extra colour.

I love the simplicity of this page with the pop of colour from the paints.

Documenting Christmas, Dec 26-31 - with Scrappy Canary!

Today I'm showing you the last pages of my "Schultz Christmas 2015" Documenting December Album (for December 26-31) and these are also the last pages of my PL 2015 album!

I've used the Nov/Dec Pocket Life kit "Jessica" from Scrappy Canary.

This first layout is for December 26-29. 

Here is a close up of the LHS. It was a nice change to go back to non-Christmas papers/embellies and I love the natural look of many of the papers and elements in this kit.

On the days after Christmas we enjoyed a few movies, reading and trying out our Christmas presents!

Here is a close up of the RHS. Jessica got a "Cats cradle" hand/string  set for Christmas which has been fun to try out (a toy/activity from the "Olden days"). She also enjoyed a day at a local water slide - complete with coffee, icecream and fish n chips!

Here is a close up of the last page of my album. There are lots of photos of my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My mom had kept her wedding and bridesmaids dresses, so my sister Gayle, my niece Ella, and Rachael wore them on the day - very special!

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

Happy Days - With Imaginarium Designs!

Today I have a scrapbook page to share using lots of gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard. 

I've used some photos of when we went on our first family bike ride on the local bike track - John didn't have a bike so he used a scooter lol!

I've also used the November/December scrapbook kit "Leila" from Scrappy Canary for this page. I love the bright fun colours and designs of the papers in this kit - especially the triangles. 

I've used Glimmer Glaze on all the chippies on this page. I had 5 different colours that I bought some time ago and never used, but are perfect for colouring chipboard. I've also just ordered another 4 colours!

Around the photos I've added some Maggie Holmes ephemera from the SC and at the bottom of the page I've added this mini stamp "follow your heart" from a Dear Lizzie roller stamp.

Today I'm showing you more pages of my "Schultz Christmas 2015" Documenting December Album (for December 24-25) made using the Document December kit from Scrappy Canary.

This first layout is for December 24-25. 

Here is a close up of the LHS - Christmas Eve! Jessica enjoyed spending the day playing with our elves. Normally you must not touch the elves else they will loose their magic, but on Christmas Eve they go home with Santa who will give them more magic.

Jessica left this message for Santa - she wanted his "orter graff" (aka autograph).

Here is a close up of the RHS. These photos are from Christmas day - opening presents!

Christmas is finally here!!
